Extreme Adhesion Test
thingiverse
Using the Sugar Method for bed adhesion in my printer, I wanted to test its holding power. This approach is utterly insane and should likely fail, but we'll see how it turns out! The print hasn't been completed yet; I'll update this once I've finished. Update - The part has printed and didn't even come close to coming loose from the bed. This method is both nuts and amazing! As soon as the temperature drops from 60 degrees to the mid-20s, it releases the print without any issue. I printed a Groot figure using this adhesion method, and as it cooled down, I could hear it snapping free. The part is essentially an I-beam design that I threw together in FreeCAD, which gets larger towards the end to make it even more challenging. The beam itself is at a 45-degree angle.
