The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo en el Límite Humano y Latinoamericano is situated in Badajoz city on grounds formerly occupied by Preventive Detention and Correctional facilities, themselves established within the eighteenth-century stronghold known as Fort Pardaleras. Officially opened to the public in 1995, this cultural institution's inception was designed with a dual mission in mind: preserving scattered cultural legacies while nurturing intercontinental connections and reaffirming historical ties between Extremadura and Latin America.
