Recently got back into FPV, but annoyingly enough the stock battery that came in my FrSky Taranis X9D Plus seems to hold approx 200-300mAh, down from the 2000mAh it was originally supposed to hold… Combined with an ELRS TX module, this meant the transmitter would run out of battery in minutes. I saw some other people had designed their own battery covers but decided to design my own, keeping it simple and quick to print.

Print with supports (needed for the clips), lying on the big flat face on the back for the quickest print. The clips aren't super strong and would probably be stronger if printed sideways but that would take a longer time and require more supports.

The clips aren't great, they are a bit too thick at the end and aren't flexible enough (in PETG) to click in properly so I ended up awkwardly putting them in first, at an angle, then flexing the cover to get the two grooves on the bottom of the TX seated properly. May redesign later, idk.

publishing as cc0 cause yolo
