Extra Lug for Dice Code Box by MAKR
prusaprinters
I really like the Dice Code Box by MAKR, but there is one small issue I have found. If you set the code correctly the inner tube can slide out, but if you then rotate all faces 180 degrees the outer tube will slide out causing the box to come apart. I don't think this will be an issue for most, but I thought of a simple fix that kept the original design, and that was to put a single lug at the rear, top of the outer tube. I've redesigned two options for this. First is a new outer tube with the lug in place. Second, I created a seperate lug and a jig to align it so it can be glued to tubes already printed. I've printed one of each and both work well to hold the box together.Printed in PLA and glued with CA. Jig fits over the edge of lip of the tube with a slot to align the lug. Care needs to be taken so at to not glue the jig to the tube. Jig can be tossed after the lug is glued. To assemble the rings, simply push the rear part in slightly and move the rings over the extra lug. The same motion is possible to remove the rings and change the code if desired (I thought that keeping it changable was important).
