This design is remarkably similar to the one found at thingiverse.com, specifically under thing:1776528. This particular version has been tailored for the Nikkor 16-80 F2.8-80 72mm lens. There are two available options: a model with four LEDs and another with six. These designs utilize a novel type of LED known as the LED COB, which can be sourced inexpensively from http://fave.co/2d6A9qk. To power this illuminator, a 12v 1A power supply is required. When it comes to wire connections, I have opted for simple banana bullet connectors found at http://fave.co/2cXx5cY. While these are perfectly suitable, users are free to choose alternative connections; however, using connectors can be beneficial as they allow for the use of a single power supply across multiple illuminators.
