I made two key modifications to enhance the performance of my MakerBot Replicator 2 upgrade kit springs. Firstly, I moved the spring bump up by 2mm to increase spring tension and improve overall results. Secondly, I encountered issues with clearance between the drive block and the base piece due to my wires running to the nozzle heaters, so I shortened the block by 2.5mm on its underside, which has yielded excellent outcomes thus far. I've also included .STP files for both the original part with the increased spring tension modification and the new version, which incorporates this change as well as the shortened base.
