Extinction Rebellion Print Blocks
thingiverse
I designed these print blocks specifically for the Forest of Dean Extinction Rebellion, using 3D printing as the best option due to the complexity of the design. These blocks have withstood hundreds of prints each and are well-justified. Feel free to use these at your XR group; please post photos and comments, as this will help gain traction and reach more people. If you'd like me to add any of your designs, just comment or message me and I'll make it happen. You can find XR's guide to printing here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/37ht3or2hd5bxxs/AAAah5YNG2V7SXq2-tkYsWtca?dl=0&preview=01_XR_HowToPrintZine_V1.pdf After 3D printing the blocks, they need to be mounted on 12mm plywood and glued using a non-water-based adhesive like Evo Stick. For best results with Speedball block printing fabric inks, use them with a foam roller. Always place something soft under the fabric when printing, such as an old towel; mounting the 3D blocks on wooden backing will provide sufficient strength to stand on for excellent prints. As you can see, we've achieved great success with various fabrics, but it's essential to test extensively before attempting large-scale printing. If you have an image you'd like me to turn into a printing block for XR or personal use, feel free to contact me. I'm more than happy to help. Many thanks and good luck!
