External smooth Spool Holder

Here's my external spool holder with ball bearings. The spool unrolls very smoothly and effortlessly. It presents the advantage of being external, so your printer's frame is not affected by the weight of the spool or the force needed to pull filament. I've been using it for months now and haven't had any issues; it's far better than my Prusa MK3S standard spool holder. There's also a wall version that's printable without supports. To build this external spool holder, you'll need: - 2 ball bearings measuring 25 x 42 x 9 mm: https://www.123bearing.com/bearing-6905-ZZ-INOX.php - 2 external circlips with an outer diameter of 25mm: https://www.123bearing.com/accessory-external-circlip-CIRCLIP-EXT-25.php The base part prints without supports, but the cylinder part requires support everywhere. To optimize printing, you can adjust your support settings to 30 degrees, which will only apply supports at the ends and not in the middle. This results in a nicely printed spool holder. I'd love to see your prints using this external spool holder!
