External Power Supply Adapter for OpenROV

thingiverse

This solution enables powering an OpenROV (http://www.openrov.com) at your desktop with an external power supply using a 3D printer for most physical parts. A 12V, 3A-capable external power supply is attached to the ROV's power leads by designing and printing a battery adapter with a 3D printer. The required items include 9 spacers, one inner end cap plug (negative terminal), one outer end cap plug, one outer end cap plug holder, one terminal clamp (positive terminal), a set of "AA" standard battery terminals, and two 60cm wires. Instructions detail the adapter's assembly and usage, with batteries removed from ROV battery tubes, the adapter tube inserted snugly into one tube, and the terminal clamp attached to the ROV's positive lead before connecting it to a suitable power supply.
