External Hard Drive Mount
thingiverse
This is a wall mount designed specifically for small external hard drives. It consists of two distinct components: one that secures the drive to the wall, and another that provides bottom support. While some dimensions can be tailored to suit different drives, I have only printed this model for a single unit so far, which means your results may differ. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer Model: MakerBot Replicator (5th Generation) Use Rafts: Yes Include Supports: No Layer Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill Density: 10% Design Process: I employed OpenSCAD to create this design, which is essentially a collection of interconnected cubes. Some of these cubes feature radiused edges, achieved by removing corners and adding cylindrical elements. Although the RadiusEdge module could be more efficient, I opted for explicit if-conditions to simplify coordinate handling. Screwholes are implemented as two distinct cylinders: one for the actual hole and another for the countersink.
