External GPU Stand (Display / Mining)
thingiverse
My Take on an External GPU Stand for Display or Mining Purposes Inspired by b1sh0p's innovative design, I created this external GPU stand from scratch in Fusion 360. It supports any PCIe GPU and comes with a padded bottom PCB that includes PCIe 1X to 16X risers. The GPU is securely fixed to the stand using a 4mm tapping screw at the top, while the riser PCB is supported at the bottom by the stand's bottom support beams. I also included a printable pin to hold the GPU in place for those who prefer not to use a screw or are unable to do so. The images accompanying this design show an early version that lacked supports for the riser PCB and was slightly taller, yet it worked flawlessly. However, I wasn't satisfied with the fact that the GPU/riser combination hovered 4mm above the bottom printed parts. To address this issue, I redesigned the stand to provide additional support in that area. I apologize for not having time to capture images of the updated design, but I plan to upload them as soon as possible.
