External battery holder for DSLRs Smallrig 1982B A7 RII
thingiverse
Greetings, I am pleased to present my first public design, a holder for external power banks that is compatible with the Sony A7 R2II camera. Two designs have been uploaded, one with a rail system for use with the Smallrig, and another without rails for universal use. You can use this design with a Smallrig or attach the battery under the camera with the design without rails. The holder is specifically designed for use with the Sony A7 RII camera in combination with the Smallrig 1982B, but it may also be compatible with other camera models. The universal design features two slots that allow you to screw the holder into a frame or a camera, providing higher compatibility with other models or frames. I have tested both models with my two kits to ensure their functionality. The design works seamlessly with the Jupio JPV0530 and WG-05 power banks. For USB connectivity when using the battery, you can easily install the battery holder with the lower slot with one screw attached as shown in one of the images. This feature is especially useful when the camera is mounted on a tripod with HDMI/USB connected. The battery compartment dimensions are 70.5mm * 20.5mm * 111mm, and the bottom is open to allow cable routing if you wish to have the cables facing downwards. A small border around the permimeter beeps the battery from falling out. Additionally, the holder is designed to slide into the rail in the Smallrig with a nice friction fit, ensuring a secure and stable connection in addition to the screw slots for a really snug fit. The screw slots is made for a 3mm deep head, and the screws used are supplied with the Smallrig.
