external battery charger for Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Headphones
thingiverse
*TL;DR: This is a external charger for Beoplay headphone batteries. Afaik the models H7, H8, H9 and H9i use this type of battery, maybe others too.* I use my Headphones almost all day and constantly forget to charge them and hate to fiddle with a USB cable and powerbank or wall charger to keep the device running while wearing it. Also i am always concerned about breaking the connector. So i got a second battery and designed this external charger. Now a full battery is always at my desk. It has a release latch similar to the one in my H9I headphones. This is built around the PLB-103 battery (sometimes called different) and the PRT-10217 SparkFun LiPo Charger. **You need:** - PRT-10217 SparkFun LiPo Charger - ~10 cm thin solid wire (i used a breadboard bridge) - little spring (i cut some from a ball pen, pen still works ;-) ) **Instructions** When printed cut ~1.5cm from a spring and put it between the main body and the release latch. Then stick some wire into the side of the main body to act as a hinge. If you got your LiPo Charger with a terminal, rip the terminal off first, otherwise the top cover wont fit. Then form small U shapes with two wires and put them through the connector holes. Solder them to the charger board. Check the polarity! Test and glue on the cover.
