I noticed online that there were limited options available for external acrylic panel holders, so I decided to create my own. After getting frustrated with searching for suitable handles, hinges, and clips, I opted for a factory-style slide-up-and-off door instead. This design allows me more room to work on my printer without the hassle of holding up the acrylic panel. For the handles, I remixed a popular brass knuckles design, but unfortunately, it appears that the original creator has taken down their model. However, the remixed version works perfectly as lift handles for the door and can be used with ABS and other high-temperature materials. This design is specifically designed for 2.5mm or 0.1-inch thick acrylic, glass, plexiglass, or any other thin board-like material. The handles can easily be remixed to create picture frame fixings or used as pinning objects. I plan on printing more of these handles to use them as dresser drawer pulls and storage container grips.
