Extension Cord connection (Splice Box)
thingiverse
Custom cable connections can be hazardous due to the ease of yanking wires out of their sockets, thereby exposing bare wires. This splice box provides a robust and secure cable connection. For outdoor extension cords, utilize water-resistant heat shrink butt connectors such as those found at https://www.amazon.com/Connectors-Eventronic-Waterproof-Automotive-Electrical/dp/B071L6VDLK/ref=sr_1_7?crid=3JC3KW2GX0DVA&keywords=heat+shrink+butt+connectors+16-14&qid=1575741324&sprefix=heat+shrink+butt+connectors+16%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-7. Connect all wires using butt crimp connectors and seal the insulation with a heat gun or flame. Insert the connection into one half of the splice box, then secure it with four-inch cable ties. Attach the second half of the splice box with two wire ties.
