Extension cable clamp

Extension cable clamp

To add a versatile extension cord outlet to my kitchen wall, I wanted a method that didn't involve applying adhesive. To achieve this, I carefully crafted two adjustable clamps using readily available materials. Securely fastening the two clamps to the plaster wall provided the necessary base for mounting the cable outlet. Designing the component with my Vertex 3D printer in mind, I selected high-quality 1.75mm PLA filament and set the layer height to a precise 0.2mm to guarantee optimal print quality. The entire printing process took roughly an hour to complete. After the print was finished, the screw heads that protruded from the surface could have been easily filed down by drilling through the plastic, but instead I utilized a trusty electric drill to gently heat the surrounding area until it friction-welded securely onto the clamp's interior, effectively fusing it in place without compromising the overall structure or necessitating further modifications.
