Modification of the Alfawise U20 coil holder for a 2 Kg reel (12cm * 20cm) Created with minimal plastic consumption in mind. Four identical screws/nuts to the originals are required for fixing the extensions. A high-quality printer is necessary for these prints. The bar must be printed in full (100% filling) to withstand the weight. It comes equipped with two handles on either side, allowing you to hold the coil with its axis during insertion or removal. If needed, it can also be printed at a thickness of 0.3. This modified bar is designed for reels up to 12.5 cm in size. When snapped into the original bracket, it sits higher than the original does. By using a longer bar and stretching the extensions to their limits, you can achieve a reel length of 14.5 cm. The support's fixings on the control block must be printed at 0.1 mm, as printing them any thicker would require filing. These bindings have no play and are meant to keep the coil tight against the block. To increase pulling force, the coil is slightly angled. A small cube with a hole in it serves as a placeholder for the filament entrance when the reel isn't facing forward. The entrance tends to wear out under such conditions. The two extensions require printing at 0.1 mm above 30% filling. However, they do need screws that match the originals to secure them properly.
