Extended (Y and Z) fan duct
thingiverse
I possess an inductive sensor from Gearbest (Practical 6 - 36V Auto Leveling Sensor for 3D Printer - BLACK). The mounting plate elevates the fan's distance from the printing nozzle. I've augmented the original design to counterbalance this. I've also elongated it along the z-axis, as the original design cooled my printing nozzle excessively on my setup. My ABS is subpar, resulting in a poor finish; I'll reprint it as soon as I acquire better quality ABS. This is my first attempt, created with Meshmixer. Edit: My filament throat is set to its lowest possible position, so verify your setup to ensure this isn't too low for you. You can measure designs using Meshmixer. Edit2: By request, a version that's 4mm even further extended in the z-direction is now available.
