Especially for the makers among us - Fablabers, teachers, learning-by-doing students and geeks - who want to inspire others to see that the 3D printer is not only an amazing making machine but also a machine you can remake. On the internet, many initiatives around the Ultimaker Original are thriving. Enthusiasts are busy printing with liquid materials like chocolate and clay. Joris van Tubergen has taken this 3D printer to new heights. Many 3D printer manufacturers offer larger models, making it possible to print bigger objects. However, what if you need to go wider? From a design perspective or when it comes to material, going wider can be a significant requirement. That's exactly what we did. We created an Ultimaker Original + with a double-sized printing bed measuring 180 by 460. This was a one-off project.
