Extended Face Shield

Extended Face Shield

thingiverse

This is an upgraded version of the CR-3D_official face shield v7. I extended the sides to ensure a more comfortable fit and accommodate safety goggles underneath. The tabs at the back now support straps, which I specifically designed for use with 1" wide woven elastic. These were created for a local dentist office that required a high-quality product due to issues with donated shields having "zits" and strings causing discomfort. To achieve this, I printed them at 0.16 layer height using a 0.5mm nozzle. To add names to the side, simply load the file into Tinkercad, set the ruler, move the shield to 0,0, open the text menu, and set your x-coordinate to 173.6mm. Please note that I have these upside down, so if you add text, it will also need to be inverted. To use the straps and slides designed for this shield, you'll need two of each: one elastic is stitched around the strap, while the other end goes through a slide and is stitched to the other; then combine them. The straps are set up similarly to those on a bra or paintball mask, allowing for adjustment to fit all head sizes. To attach a clear lens, simply cut an x into the mushroom-shaped tabs at the front and push it over the studs.
