Extended body for Crossfire quadcopter
thingiverse
This extended version of the body offers more space for fitting FPV equipment, with a handle/protection bar added for carrying and protection purposes. Notches are included to securely strap the control board down using rubber bands, including an ArduPilot separated from the top by Moongel. Additional modifications may be made later to improve FPV gear storage. A 30-degree top and bottom plate has been added for better motor spacing and less obstruction of the camera. Rubber dampener slots have also been incorporated into a modified version of the bottom plate, designed for use with MikeyB's brushless gimbal battery tray. The original version featured 45-degree plates, but the 30-degree plates are recommended unless specific requirements demand otherwise. For control boards without a separate compass module, a raised top plate is suggested to minimize magnetic interference caused by wires passing under it. Regardless of compass configuration, the bottom plate with dampener slots is recommended for minimal interference issues. Links to related Thingiverse items have been provided for reference.
