Extendable Socket Holder Chain
thingiverse
This is a socket holder shaped like chain links! Files available for 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drive sockets. To create an open-ended socket holder: Print as many "links" as you have sockets - first. Print one "ring" and one "plug". To create a closed loop, simply print a link for every socket. Print and add more links at any time. The links are designed to snap together. If you have some trouble snapping them in, try angling so that one side of the bumped edge is inside the groove, then squeeze the other side in. Needle-nosed pliers can also help squeeze the outer prongs. Let me know how they work for you and share your creations! I haven't tried the 1/2" version yet.
