Extech 530 Multimeter Selection Dial and Battery Cover
thingiverse
Broke the selector wheel on my older Extech 530 Multimeter. Extech wants $100 flat rate to fix it, a friggin' plastic part that's not worth the cost, and won't sell me just the part I need. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and made my own replacement wheel. It prints fine with supports, with the detent circle facing down towards the bed. Be prepared to spend some time trimming up the wiper mount nubs with a razor knife - careful not to slip. If you print this with a 0.2mm nozzle, it'll likely be much easier. I did it with a 0.4mm and still got great results. I had trouble duplicating the detent chain, so it's a little stiffer than the original, but rotates just fine. Because of how the original wheel mounts, you may need to drill out the center of the external wheel to clean out any leftover indexing details in the shaft - mine all broke off and couldn't be duplicated. I'm much happier with this design. The battery cover fits perfectly on my EX5xx series meter.
