Explosive Kabeira New 3DS XL Case and Stylus - Monster Hunter Generations

My Entry for the Monster Hunter Generations Competition! I crafted a model of the Explosive Kabeira Gun lance from reference images, transforming it into a sturdy case and stylus for the New Nintendo 3DS XL. The shield is elegantly mounted on top of the case, providing extra protection, while the gun lance itself morphs into a powerful stylus that lets you play with an unstoppable force. A little prickly to handle, perhaps, but seasoned hunters won't bat an eye at this fiery challenge. Each horn was meticulously modeled to be one-of-a-kind, and the Monster Hunter Generations emblem is proudly embossed on the back. Convenient slots allow for effortless game-changing, headphone jack usage, original stylus storage, power switch access, and shoulder button control - all in the comfort of your own hands! The hinge at the back requires a precise M3 bolt and nut to function flawlessly. If dimensions don't quite fit the bill, feel free to let me know; I worked without a New Nintendo 3DS XL for testing purposes. All modeling was carried out with Fusion 360's precision tools, while printing was done on an Ultimaker 2+. STL files are provided for a separate horn version, catering to smaller printer users. Cura estimates a print time of approximately three and a half days at 50 mm/s speed using a 0.4 mm nozzle - some finer details on the stylus would benefit from a more precise 0.25 mm nozzle. Regrettably, I didn't have enough time to produce a full-sized print before the submission deadline, so I opted for quicker prints at reduced scales, which compromised quality.
