Experimental Z axis combined leadscrew base
thingiverse
Experimentally designed, the Z axis combined leadscrew base for Mendel has undergone modifications to reduce printed and non-printed parts. This innovative design features parameterization of the Z motor adjustment slot length. The base integrates a Z bar clamp that utilizes frame bar and nuts, holding the leadscrew in place, to also clamp the Z bar. Drawing inspiration from Whosawhatsis' Huxley work, this design offers two STLs - one similar to original dimensions and another sized for optimal frame vertex contact, reducing nut requirements. Though meticulously positioned, this part is experimental, untested on real machines with limited parameterization; proceed with caution.
