This is an experimental sculpture featuring intricately curved surfaces. It could be utilized as an ornamental piece, game token or prestigious award. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer Model: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Not Required Supports: Not Needed Resolution: High Definition Infill Percentage: 14% Design Process: The initial concept began with a double helix shape at the base, adapted to accommodate the deposition characteristics of 3D printers. Primative shapes such as torus, cylinder and hollow glass were then incorporated; followed by the addition of a sphere with bridging techniques to create openings and curved structures. Using Mesh Fusion tools in Modo, all elements were welded together seamlessly.
