Experimental 3D Printable Fabric

Experimental 3D Printable Fabric

thingiverse

Experiment with a novel fabric concept for 3D printing on devices like Ultimaker, MakerBot, Reprap or similar. The design prototype has been modeled in Rhino 3D software. An alternative printable fabric design is available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8724. Here's how to print this innovative fabric: Step 1 - Print the solid parts. Step 2 - Print the loop connectors, a single thick plastic thread in one go; adjust input data based on settling during printing. Optionally, push down loops after printing. Step 3 - Print 3D threads securing connectors. Note: I don't own a 3D printer, so feasibility is uncertain.
