"To push the boundaries of science, of what is possible in this ever shrinking world. That is what I do, Mr. Perry." The two men walked through a non descript hallway, unmarked steel doors lining both walls. Mr. Perry, in an all black suit, began to show some of the agitation he had felt for the past hour. "I understand that, Doctor. You're a free thinker, you need your space to *play*. But what you don't understand is that we have a *budget*, a budget that you have blown through in a matter of days!" He was all but shouting at that point, his voice echoing in the long hall way. "So unless you have something to show us, other than more essays about 'pushing boundaries' I think our agreement must come to an end!" The Doctor stood for a moment in front of one of the many doors, in the very long hallway. The flourescents flickered overhead, and an arythmic buzz hummed in the walls. "Are you done?" the Doctor asked, pulling open the door. The buzz was amplified ten fold. Mr. Perry's eyes open wide, he was suddenly no longer aware that his feet ached, that he hadn't eaten since breakfast, or that his husband's birthday was tomorrow.
