Expansion bar for e.g. door frame renovations

I smiled as the idea popped into my head :) And i have started to design.

After 3 try and error finally working project.

Expansion bar do not have length size limits, as it is extesible by water pipes 25mm diameter.

Tested for door frame change when the foam is drying.

I have tested also for supporting plasterboard on the ceiling with longer water pipes.

Water pipes visible on the photos. I use this design as it is really cheap. Water pipe 2-3 meters cost 1 euro ;-) Biggest cost is filament used.

The heads of the screws and stands are angled to hold the water pipe insertion.

Printing

Print without support.

Some modifiers are required so i have included 3mf files, helpfull also for orientation models on the printer. If you like to use longer water pipes increase infill of e.g. screw heads.

Parts

Complete printing parts are:

2 x stand

1 x left screw

1 x right screw

1 x double threaded pipe

UPDATES

added one more forgotted file for stand in PETG

updated print time as it was previously sum of PLA and PETG ;-)
