Expanding Jewelry Box

Expanding Jewelry Box

I created this jewelry box as part of a thoughtful Christmas gift for my wife. Most parts print successfully without support, though some may choose to use it for the holes in the drawers. The boxes and inserts cost .25, while the lift arms cost .15, resulting in a better finish from using bronzonefill. Whether or not you're lining the boxes will depend on whether you need to scale the inserts to fit; they are designed to sit flush with all sides of unlined boxes. To accommodate this for me, using felt, I scaled them down to 98%. The base needs to be weighted to counteract the imbalance caused by the expansion of the tiers; I used tire balancing weights from Amazon for a small cost, or you could fill the bottom tier with jewelry for your intended recipient.
