Expandable Workbench Tool Stand
thingiverse
This tool holder is designed for electronics workbenches and can be expanded with as many bays as required. Each bay's top panel is customizable to fit your tools. Additional expansion kits are planned, with the first revision being a bit small but functional. Revision 2 has been posted but not yet tested; it features larger bottom tray for square Post-it notes and an insert box compatible with R2. A corrected version, R2.1, is also available. To create your own holder, laser cut as many bays as needed from 3mm material. The starter set includes three bays and four side walls, featuring a solder spool holder and custom front pane for solder exit. Expand later by cutting more expansion kits. Assembly is easy, with no glue required unless desired for sturdiness. All DXF files are in millimeters. For R2, cut the base unit and add as many expansion and top sets as needed for extra bays. No glue is necessary for R2.
