Expandable table saw roller core
prusaprinters

My father-in-law has an expandable platform that handles long pieces coming off the table saw after they have been cut. It it essentially four legs on casters connected by a series of scissor joints that have a roller at the top. It's stable when extended but is quite top-heavy when it's collapsed. It got knocked over at one point and the plastic part that centers the roller on the bearing broke on one of the end rollers. I used this as an opportunity to learn OpenSCAD since it is essentially a series of cylinders braced with 6 radial fins.

I printed it in PLA on a CR-10 V3 at 200C/50C with default settings plus supports. The supports can be tricky to remove, I suggest using a pair of needle-nose pliers to grip them and then rotating.

The roller platform is sold under multiple brands so I thought this might be useful to someone else. I'll update with a photo the next time I visit and can install the part.
