Customize your filament storage with this expandable spool rack designed for standard 5lb/2.3kg filament spools. The modular design allows you to extend the width by using longer rods and printing more arms. Arms can also be mounted upside down, perfect for limited workspace. OpenSCAD files are provided for customization. To assemble, print at least two arms to hold a loaded spool; add more arms and a longer rod for multiple spools. Secure the spool with smooth/threaded rods or allthread and jam nuts. The arms feature x3 M4 trapped nut slots for mounting under a worktable. Use garden-variety 608ZZ bearings in hubs for press-fitting into filament spools, reducing extruder tension. Adjust press-fits with a bench vise or rubber mallet. A 15% honeycomb infill in slic3r provides adequate strength.
