Expandable ring holder

Expandable ring holder

thingiverse

This is a precision tool designed specifically for jewelers to secure rings from the inside using an advanced expansion mechanism. To assemble this tool, you will need: - One 30 mm M4 round or hexagonal head screw - One 9 mm washer (if you don't have a hexagonal head screw) - One M4 nut - Print one handle and one end cone (depending on the type of screw used) - As many expansion collets as needed I printed this tool with a 3 mm brim, 0.3 mm layer, two walls, and 15% cubic infill using Cura slicer. The handle and end cones feature sacrificial bridges that allow for support-free printing. After printing, simply break away the thin sacrificial layer. To assemble the tool, place the nut in the handle (you may need to apply some force) and insert the screw into the cone. Then, fit an expansion collet onto the cone. Tighten the nut to secure it, then add a ring and tighten the screw again. The collet should expand and lock the ring in place.
