EXP GDC v8.0 (mini ITX) case
thingiverse
I was in dire need of a secure enclosure for my external graphics card that I occasionally utilize with my trusty Dell E6430 laptop.\nThe case fits snugly around my GTX 960 mini, and it's likely to accommodate other ITX graphics cards as well; if needed, the design can be easily modified to fit bigger cards.\nI crafted the notched box using the online tool Boxmaker, which made the process a breeze.\nThe file was then converted from PDF to DXF via an online converter for seamless integration.\nNext, I edited the necessary connector cutouts and air holes before precision-cutting it from 3mm acrylic using a high-quality lasercutter.\nThe EXP GDC v8.0 can be easily sourced at Banggood for Mini PCI-E, Expresscard, MAC, as well as NGFF configurations; don't forget to match it with a 6-pin power cable.\nTo keep things simple, you have two options: either repurpose an old ATX PSU that's been collecting dust or opt for the convenient Dell PA-2 plug-and-play solution.
