Exoskeletor Pendant Lamp

The primary motivation behind the design was to create a unique, naturally inspired lamp. Drawing inspiration from exoskeletons and combining it with a heavy form resulted in an innovative lighting fixture. I enjoy juxtaposing opposites in my designs, such as light and heavy, white and black, mesh and round, solid and insubstantial. The pipey lampshade also casts stunning shadows in the room when illuminated.
