Exhaustion Mask

myminifactory

Four bronze masks cast using the lost wax process by Robert Tait McKenzie vividly depict intense exertion, labored breathing, extreme tiredness, and total exhaustion. These distinctive facial expressions were originally illustrated in "The Facial Expression of Emotions with Special Reference to Violent Effort and Fatigue," an international study published in Philadelphia in 1932 on pages iv-282. Personal notes about McKenzie can be found stored in a dedicated archival drawer.
