Update 8/23/2020 The labeled version of the filter holder model is now available, replacing a previously uploaded incorrect file. Update 6/2/2020 A second version of the Filter Holder stl has been added, featuring a label stating "Filters Exhaled Air." Update 5/10/2020 The Filter Holder stl has been updated with improved tolerance and minor cosmetic changes. Successful test prints were made using 0.2mm and 0.1mm layer heights, each with 20% infill, and the two parts fit together seamlessly without sanding. This filter holder is designed to capture exhaled exhaust air from 3M 6000 series respirators. To meet local face covering requirements, this design was created to use a 3M respirator, as "any mask that incorporates a one-way valve is not a Face Covering and cannot be used to comply with this Order's requirements." Valves of that type permit droplet release from the mask, putting others nearby at risk. This filter holder fits 3M 6100, 6200, and 6300 models, using the same P95/P100 filters normally used on the mask. To improve airflow when using this filter holder, the back of the filter may be cut off as shown in the photo. Please see the video for instructions on how to assemble the two parts. https://youtu.be/e4XQ1Q5cxRU Note: The filter holder will not latch correctly upside-down.
