Exhaust

Exhaust

Exhaust collector for a piston engine with multiple cylinders. For a collector of two output valves from the same cylinder, remove the wall with the knife edge. Intake runners with plenum are straightforward with subdividing, so I'd do them on the fly for that specific engine. To simulate a real circle using NURBS and get that nu in there, I tried misusing crease, but then saw the order needs to be four. Fluid is somewhat forgiving, but the valve seat requires higher precision and I would use 40 sectors like on my piston for that. The calculation hasn't been done yet, but it feels like the parabola-to-circle approximation is better than any production tolerances. Again, Sketchfab has issues with merging array mods. Maybe it's a version mismatch of Blender. I use wireframe, smooth shading, subdividing to check merge. Bevel and grab should also be used. This model is double-walled because solidifying fails at the knife edge. 6 x Array, Curve Deform, Sub Surf
