A key component in automotive engineering, an exhaust manifold gathers exhaust gases emitted from several cylinders into one pipe. Typically constructed of cast iron or stainless steel, these manifolds collect gas from multiple engine cylinders and channel it to the exhaust pipe. Popular aftermarket headers are often crafted using mild steel or stainless steel tubing for their primary tubes, along with flat flanges; a larger diameter collector, made from the same material as the primaries, may also be present.
