Exhaust Hose Holder (BALLU BPAC-07 Portable Air Conditioner)
thingiverse
I just purchased a portable air conditioner for my mom's apartment. You all know that these units have exhaust hoses to transfer heat generated by the air conditioner outside. The idea was to mount an exhaust hose through a balcony door plastic blank window, specifically crafted for this purpose, during summer and switch it over to the original one with the advent of September. However, the problem arose when I found out the original exhaust hose adapter couldn't be securely fixed on the blank window due to poor design of hose adapter clamps. The adapter could easily detach by hand or fall out if you open a balcony door. So, I took precise measurements from the hose adapter and designed my own mount system to secure it in place. It consists of several parts: 1. Spacer, 2mm thickness, acrylic glass - 1pc. 2. Lock clamp, 1mm thickness, steel - 2pcs. 3. Outdoor air grille, 3mm thickness, acrylic glass - 1pc. All parts are manufactured using a laser cutting machine. Once you craft the parts, you'll have to cut an oval hole through the plastic blank window on your door by repeating the oval contour of your hose adapter, mount the spacer and hose adapter in place, and drill holes. Then all you need to do is drill these holes and assemble the hose adapter with the spacer and mounting plates (and air grille on the other side) by tightening it down with furniture joint connectors (Bolt & Cap Nut Kit). Now, your exhaust pipe adapter is securely fixed!
