This adapter is designed to fit standard exhaust hoses onto the Full Spectrum 40W Hobby Laser and HPC LS3020 Laser Cutter, potentially also fitting some other Chinese-made cutters. The stock exhaust fans are subpar, being inefficient, leaky, and obstructive; this accessory allows you to connect a standard hose to proper filtration equipment. Alexander Brock of RaumZeitLabor hackerspace in Mannheim, Germany, created it for their FS laser cutter. To use, cut parts from 5mm MDF or plywood with a laser cutter using provided files; glue them together, fit a 100mm hose to the back with adhesive and screws, seal corners internally with silicone, and optionally add foam tape for extra sealing on the laser case side.
