Improve your PLA prints by adding an Exhaust Fan Duct to the carriage of your 3D printer. If you want to print PLA, your prints will improve if you cool the filament directly after it is extruded out of the nozzle. With this rack, that you mount on the carriage of your Da Vinci Pro printer, you can add 2 exhaust fans so that they cool your print by blowing air over your print. Now you can print much larger bridges and overhanging parts with your printer then you can imagine. Only be aware of one thing, you must set your PLA extrusion temperature about 5 degrees higher then you are used to. See the video for more details:https://youtu.be/jrzTfVF7P9E Print Settings Printer: Da Vinci 1.0 Pro Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: Make sure to print 1 backplate and 2x exhaust fanduct double version 3. You can print them all together in one run. Also, make sure the two exhause fanduct double 3 parts are positioned on their sides, like I describe in my video. This makes the part much stronger. Making it This parts you must buy 2x Brushless fans, type 4010s, 5v 2 wires.http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-4010S-50x40x10mm-5V-Brushless-DC-Cooling-Blower-Fan-2-Wires-1pc-/182128296594?hash=item2a67b14292:g:JRwAAOSw8vZXNCQ8 1x circuit braker switch 1x red LED 3mm 1x 220 Ohm resistor 4x 3mm screw (I used nylon) 20mm long 4x 3mm nut Now make it If you do not know enough about electronics, use a separate power supply and don't do what I did, tapping the power from the printer power supply. at the negative side of the LED, mount a black wire, on the positive side of the LED solder the 220 Ohms resistor and mount a red wire. From the power supply, connect the negative parts together. This means the black wires from the fans and the LED. From the positive side, make a red wire from the power supply to the switch. On this switch, solder all the red wires together so that the fans and LED turn on when you power on the switch. Glue the 2 printed mounts to the backplate with super glue and mount all the bought equipment in the mounts. Mount the backplate in the printer with a simple tiewrap. Make sure your cables are managed, and won't get stuck in the carriage. As you can see I made a second cable holder to the carriage. Do me a favor, please...
