Exhaust Fan Cover Replacement - 12'' Round Duct Snap-on

This is a DIY exhaust grill or exhaust cover replacement. If you're reading this post, chances are your own grill has gone missing and you want to conceal the unsightly ductwork innards discreetly within your home. With this cover, you can hide the cobwebs and dust bunnies without having to make an extra trip to the hardware store or hire a repair service. I've included the dimensions of the revolved boss/base so you can create your own CAD design for this part and make adjustments as needed to fit smaller or larger duct sizes. Most users will only need to modify the value of the nominal radius (the one labeled 6 inches in the photo above). The snap fit dimensions are virtually universal. A little trial and error initially using PLA on a Type A Printer, followed by ABS on a Stratasys once it was verified for a smoother finish.
