Excavation of the former Immerath church in Erkelenz, Germany is underway. Denis and Josef Franzen are spearheading this project, while Dr. Alfred Schuler from LVR-ABR is providing direction. The current state of affairs was documented on September 8th, 2018. Further updates will be provided at a later date. On July 28th, 2018, the situation remained unchanged. As for June 16th, 2018, progress was steady but unspectacular. If you take a look back to November 18th, 2017, you can see the church in its previous state.
