Excavation based on the Tuve graves
thingiverse
Be kind, this is my first project. I've created a 9 by 17 centimeter model of an excavation based on the early iron age graves in Tuve, Sweden. A thin 3d render provided by the Gothenburg City Museum was used, and I added a frame to make it printable. The frame will need some work - use a scalpel and make lines to give it a girder-like look instead of a solid object, and add a small dot of green stuff in each corner as a nail if you want. It's out of scale, but with the frame worked on and painted like wood, and sunk into a hill, it should resemble an excavation of some kind - perhaps someone is searching for an ancient artifact? The field itself sticks out a bit since it wasn't perfectly squared, but you'll need to insert it into a hill anyway. EDIT: Cura has had issues making it work, and some programs claim to make it printable, but it's untested as my printer is occupied - I'll return with updates unless someone beats me to it. I'm trying to print it, but it's not 100% successful yet, unsure how bad the outcome will be. Any inputs or ideas would be appreciated, especially since the ground surface was borrowed from a 3d model that was super thin and designed only for online viewing with a skin.
