Designing a 3D Model for Training Exercise No. 18 using SolidWorks is a crucial task that requires precision and attention to detail. To achieve this, one must first launch the SolidWorks application and create a new part document. Next, set the units of measurement to millimeters and define the origin point as the center of the model. Drawing a rectangle with dimensions 100mm x 50mm serves as the base for the model. The rectangle is then extruded to form a solid body. A hole is drilled into one end of the solid using a cylindrical cutting tool, with a diameter of 10mm and a depth of 20mm. To add some visual interest, a circular pattern is created on the surface of the part, comprising three equally spaced holes with diameters of 5mm each.
