Here is a simple exercise to get started with SolidWorks: Open up a new part document and create a basic box shape using the Extruded Boss/Base tool. Give it some dimensions - let's say 5 inches wide, 3 inches tall, and 2 inches deep. Now, use the Fillet feature to add a radius to all the edges of the box, making sure to choose a consistent fillet size throughout. Next, create a new sketch on one of the faces of the box using the Line tool. Draw a simple line that is parallel to one of the edges of the box and centered in the middle. Use the Hole Wizard to add a hole through the center of this line - let's say it's 1 inch diameter. Now, use the Mirror feature to create an identical version of the hole on the opposite face of the box. Use the Assembly feature to combine both parts into one assembly document and save it as a new file.
