Evolve Truck Mounted Tail Light Bracket
thingiverse
I purchased these extremely affordable bike lights for my Evolve which notoriously turn themselves off with a simple bump but had modified them to resist shock and now function flawlessly.\r\n\r\nSo, I needed a more reliable way to mount them without the rubber arms that could be cut if you hit a rock or edge on something, so after several iterations I finally came up with this design.\r\n\r\nI attempted to do it without support but then had no choice due to the numerous overhangs and pieces sticking out everywhere, so I ended up placing it with the curved part facing downwards.\r\nIt was quite challenging to measure up the design so it's a bit snug and may push a little, but with my cable tied in place (or use a screw/locknut) it holds securely without any issues.\r\n\r\nI highly recommend applying tape on the insides where it presses up against the trucks as plastic is abrasive and could scratch them over time.\r\nThe bottom has no plastic to prevent the light from flying off if you hit the truck on concrete, so you shouldn't lose the light.\r\n\r\nThis part needs to be mirrored in the slicer to create the other side and once printed, it can slip on from the front side and then slide to the center (while holding the motor cable out of the way.
