Reimagining the conventional house key, this project explores 3D printing's potential for enhancing security, practicality, and portability. By leveraging 3D printing's capacity to create complex coding surfaces, the key's design can become more difficult to replicate. Additionally, users can print keys on-demand and even destroy them after use, reducing the risk of theft. Furthermore, keys can be made from various materials, improving practicality by eliminating issues related to traditional steel keys. Lastly, in case of loss, the key can be easily replaced by downloading it from a password-protected file and printing it out. This innovative approach demonstrates how 3D printing can revolutionize an everyday object, enhancing its functionality and security while offering new levels of convenience.
